Classes About 140 UCLA faculty members in 28 different academic departments and programs specialize in some aspect of medieval and/or Renaissance studies. The Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies supports the research and teaching activities of these faculty members. CMRS also supports UCLA students by offering awards and fellowships, sponsoring an annual CMRS Seminar, bringing Distinguished Visiting Scholars to UCLA, publishing the graduate student journal Comitatus, and presenting a full calendar of scholarly events (lectures, symposia, and conferences) that students may attend free of charge.
